Guillaume Constantin’ s work, born in 1974, builds itself from analogies and from anachronisms. Whether it’s in the choice of materials (often semi processed), of type of formats, in the sources used, either the samples and the movements that he proposes, the question of the materiality of the object arises which inevitably refers back to the work of art and its daily derivatives. Ambiguous works take place which bounce on one another by becoming alternately a game on the medium, the support, a tribute, a misappropriation, a reappropriation.
His work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions, international art fairs, Frac and arts centres. He is represented, since 2011, by Bertrand Grimont Gallery (Paris)
